Coming Soon: BroadSoft Xtended
Get used to hearing the buzzwords “Web 2.0,” “mashup” and “Xtended” in the same sentence as BroadSoft. Now, in the exciting new world of Web 2.0, any developer can create a cool mashup with the BroadWorks® VoIP application platform. A mashup is an application that integrates one or more applications to create a new solution. In this case, mashups would marry BroadWorks calling features with Web-based applications, such as customer-relationship management solutions or social networking sites.
Ready for launch. At this month’s Spring VON.x conference, BroadSoft will unveil its new BroadSoft Xtended initiative to drive innovative, Web 2.0 applications into the hands of BroadWorks® end-users. If you are attending VON.x, then be sure to visit our exhibit at Booth #1019. We will have numerous demos by partners and developers showcasing mashups with Facebook, salesforce.com, ACT! by Sage and more.
BroadSoft customers and partners can get more information about BroadSoft Xtended by going to the BroadSoft Boulevard portal.

Tech Tip: Simultaneous Ring
The Simultaneous Ring
(or “SimRing” for
those in-the-know) feature on BroadWorks makes
staying connected easy. With SimRing, any call
to the primary number instantaneously rings numerous
other numbers specified by the user. If you aren’t
using it yet, now’s the time to give it
a try.
Here’s how to set
up (SimRing):
- Open your BroadWorks portal in your
Web browser.
- Log in with your BroadWorks username and
password.
- Select “Incoming Calls” from
the left navigation bar.
- Select “Simultaneous
Ring Personal” from the Advanced Section
