Connections 2006 Gets Rave Reviews

BroadSoft’s customers, prospects, and sponsors recently gathered at the posh, Five Diamond-rated resort, The Phoenician, in Scottsdale, Arizona, for BroadSoft Connections 2006, the annual executive users conference. Networking opportunities, educational content from leading experts on market behavior and economic theory, and the 60-vendor partner showcase drew 650 attendees, a virtual Who’s Who of the VoIP industry, to the event. BroadSoft proudly opened the European Operations Center in Belfast, Northern Ireland to deliver the most timely deployment and operational support to customers in the region. With the rapid growth of the customer base across Europe, the European Operations Center brings technical assistance expertise in region to enable BroadSoft customers to get to market quickly and start generating revenue through their BroadWorks VoIP application platform. In a move that expands BroadSoft’s presence around the world, BroadSoft executives launched a new business development initiative in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The 2007 Nobel Peace Prize winner, Professor Muhammad Yunus, was the honored guest at the event supporting BroadSoft’s market introduction. Professor Yunus, recognized as one of the most 25 influential businessmen, maintains that information technology and telecommunications play a vital role in reducing poverty and improving daily life for millions. Seoul, South Korea, hosted BroadSoft’s introduction of a new executive team and industry thought leader this month. Myoung-Kyoo Choi joins BroadSoft as the regional vice president of sales and Hak-Song Park, former senior executive at KT, is the senior counselor in the region. The BroadSoft customer base in Korea includes leading service providers, KT, Samsung Networks, SK Telink, and Hanaro, and is positioned to grow as BroadSoft introduces mobility and fixed mobile convergence applications throughout the country. Long-time BroadSoft channel, Ericsson, now includes the BroadWorks Mobile PBX capability in its IMS Multimedia Telephony (IMT) solution. The BroadSoft application extends enhanced enterprise communications functionality to any mobile device and offers a migration path for carriers with non-IMS or hybrid networks. Read more»

At the recent BroadSoft Connections conference, BroadSoft and 3Com announced interoperability between the BroadWorks VoIP application platform and 3Com’s broad portfolio of secure, converged network solutions. This interoperability gives VoIP service providers additional network equipment options to offer their enterprise customers. Read more»

BroadSoft also announced that the company has joined the Forum Nokia PRO for software developers to have access to Nokia technology and receive technical, business development and marketing support from Nokia to bring applications on Nokia devices to market quickly. Read more»
