BROADSOFT ENABLES BULLDOG TELEWORKS TO OFFER ENHANCED VOICE SERVICES INTEGRATED WITH SPECIALIZED BUSINESS APPLICATIONS TO VERTICAL MARKETS

Applications Target Professional Services Firms such as Legal, Accounting, Consulting and Real Estate

GAITHERSBURG, MD, December 4, 2002 - BroadSoft®, Inc., the leading provider of voice applications and servers, today announced that BullDog TeleWorks, Inc., an innovative provider of advanced voice, data and information technology services, will use BroadSoft's award-winning BroadWorks™ platform to provide integrated voice and business-process solutions to professional services firms.

BullDog TeleWorks is the first provider of business-process solutions to use the advantages of a next-generation network to bring economies of scale, lower operational costs and advanced information systems to small and mid-sized companies that would otherwise be unable to afford these services. BullDog TeleWorks is initially targeting law firms with its solution that integrates a customized BroadWorks platform with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) features. The company will then expand to offer enhanced services to other small and mid-size professional services firms such as accounting, consulting and real estate.

For the legal market, BullDog delivers voice services such as advanced call screening and provides billing integration with the phone system, capabilities previously affordable only to large enterprises. Advanced call screening allows attorneys to become more accessible to their clients, while protecting personal time from the intrusion of non-urgent matters. Billing integration enables attorneys to automate a laborious, non-billable task, thereby saving time while also improving billing accuracy.

"This is a strategic partnership for BullDog TeleWorks, as voice services are a key differentiator for our clients. We selected BroadSoft because BroadWorks has the most comprehensive feature set that we have found in the industry," said Jon Jaroker, CEO of BullDog TeleWorks. "BroadWorks has extremely flexible and robust service creation and web interface customization capabilities that allow seamless integration with a wide array of databases and back-office systems."

Several law firms are currently using BullDog TeleWorks' services, which will be generally available in the first quarter of 2003. One user, Robert J. deBrauwere of the New York intellectual property and media law firm Jacobs deBrauwere LLP, commented, "Almost everything I do is on my desktop computer. Controlling my phone service - modifying the features, transferring calls, and receiving voicemail as a wave file in email - contributes significantly to my productivity. The call screening and simultaneous ringing functions also greatly help by enabling me to prioritize client access in urgent situations, ensuring that critical calls always get through."

Another BullDog TeleWorks user, Michael J. Marcin of the New York intellectual property law firm of Fay Kaplun & Marcin LLP, added, "Tying the phone system to a billing application is a major asset that saves time. BullDog is a very powerful service and easy to use - you can learn to use it in ten minutes."

"BullDog TeleWorks is demonstrating to the industry the business advantage of integrating critical business functions and making them easy-to-use and competitively priced," said Mike Tessler, president and CEO, BroadSoft. "BullDog fulfills the vision of serving vertical markets in a way that was never before possible. The BroadWorks' feature set enables BullDog to deliver on their commitment of providing small and medium-sized customers with the same types of communications features and application benefits available to Fortune 500 enterprises. We are very enthusiastic about continuing to work with them to further develop advanced communication solutions."

BroadWorks is the industry's first integrated system of voice applications and servers enabling service providers to deliver basic and enhanced voice services to enterprises. BroadWorks' voice applications and servers enable providers to rapidly and cost-effectively deploy a comprehensive portfolio of carrier-class telephony services such as IP Centrex, hosted PBX, voice VPN, and enhanced network applications. Using BroadWorks, service providers and customer administrators can manage administrative functions with BroadSoft's patented web-based portal, CommPilot™. The BroadWorks architecture can scale to support millions of subscribers and deliver 99.999% total system availability.

ABOUT BULLDOG TELEWORKS
BullDog TeleWorks develops and markets advanced voice and data solutions to small and mid-sized professional service firms that enable these businesses (for the first time) to afford sophisticated communications applications that improve productivity, reduce costs and streamline operations. BullDog's services are integrated with and delivered through a centrally managed phone system (generally known as a PBX) that has all of the features and benefits of a large company PBX but without any upfront capital costs or recurring maintenance expense. Using BullDog TeleWorks' services, attorneys, accountants, consultants and other types of knowledge-based and communications-intensive professionals obtain business-process solutions specifically tailored to their business needs - such as billing and client management - by simply picking up a telephone.

BullDog TeleWorks' patent-pending technology includes a process for high-accuracy, real-time transcription of telephone calls and voice mail, as well as a process for the delivery of enhanced services in parallel with an incumbent phone company, providing its customers a way to obtain advanced communications services in a risk-free manner.
