FLORIDA BUSINESS COMMUNICATIONS SERVICE PROVIDER, COMMUNICATIONS XCHANGE, SIGNS CONTRACT TO DEPLOY BROADSOFT'S AWARD-WINNING BROADWORKS

Communications Xchange To Use BroadWorks to offer Bundled Voice Services to Small and Medium-Sized Businesses Using a Broadband Internet Connection

GAITHERSBURG, MD, September 18, 2002 - BroadSoft®, Inc., the leading provider of voice applications and servers, today announced that Communications Xchange, a new business communications solution provider based in Tampa, Florida, will use BroadSoft's industry leading BroadWorks to offer a bundled voice solution, using a broadband Internet connection, to small and medium-sized businesses in Florida. Communications Xchange represents the tenth commercial deployment for BroadSoft, further strengthening BroadSoft's market leadership in its space.

Communications Xchange designed and built its network to specifically meet the requirements of providing cost-effective bundled communications services to business customers. By leveraging BroadSoft's enhanced service management and lower cost infrastructure, Communications Xchange will obtain a significant competitive advantage.
