SANTA CLARA, CA - VON Conference, March 29, 2004 -- BroadSoft®
Inc., the leading provider of network communications platforms,
today announced that ten new service provider customers have chosen
BroadSoft's BroadWorks® network communications platform to support
hosted VoIP services for the enterprise and residential broadband
markets. Increasing BroadSoft's leading global market share in this
space, the ten service providers include: Broadvoice, Broadweave
Networks, DRD Communications PLC (United Kingdom), Eureka Networks,
Inflexion Communications, ISN Communications, RealConnect, Ultimate
Medium Communications, XIPTEL and WorldxChange Communications (New
Zealand).
BroadSoft's BroadWorks provides a comprehensive range of applications
including hosted PBX, IP Centrex, residential broadband, and the

worldwide have selected the BroadWorks platform from BroadSoft,
with more than 300,000 licenses shipped.
"With more than 25 years in the telecommunications industry,
I know how important it is to pick market-leading solutions that
support the broadest array of features and capabilities," said
Peter Geddis, president and CEO at XIPTEL, and former COO at Qwest
Communications. "BroadWorks' carrier grade platform enables
XIPTEL to deliver advanced feature packages nationwide, tailored
to the individual needs of our cost-conscious business customers.
BroadWorks' open standards-based architecture lets us bundle enhanced
VoIP, broadband, usage, and world-class customer service to provide
our customers the convenience of a one-stop-shopping solution."
"We selected BroadSoft and its BroadWorks platform to provide
enhanced IP telephony features and solutions because it is the only
platform available that supports regulatory compliant, primary line
services with all the leading features," said Scott Wilson,
president at Ultimate Medium Communications. "With BroadSoft
we were able to enhance our current IP telephony product offering
by adding solutions such as unified communications and hosted PBX
that work seamlessly with our current network. With BroadWorks,
we can scale to millions of users without having to worry about
incurring additional costs due to pending regulatory decisions regarding
issues such as CALEA."
"After thoroughly researching the market, we chose BroadSoft's
BroadWorks platform to leverage our existing network and deliver
packetized voice services to our customers in an efficient and cost-effective
manner," said Raul K. Martynek, president and CEO at Eureka
Networks. "With BroadWorks we'll be able to accelerate our
service provisioning process and be able to deliver dial tone to
our customers in days, just as we do with Internet access."
"BroadSoft's leading pace of customer acquisition reflects
the industry's continuing confidence that BroadSoft delivers the
most advanced and proven platform worldwide as well as the building
optimism about the viability of VoIP services in the global telecom
market," said Michael Tessler, CEO and president at BroadSoft.
