SUPERCOMM 2004 ANNOUNCES BROADSOFT AS SUPERQUEST
AWARD WINNER
BroadSoft Receives Runner-up Award for its "Excellent"
Hosted Applications, Staying Power, and Strong Customer Relationships.
GAITHERSBURG, MD, June 14, 2004 -- BroadSoft Inc., the leading
provider of network communications platforms, has been honored by
SUPERCOMM as a runner-up for the 7th Annual SUPERQuest Award in
the Continuous Achievement category for suppliers. New this year,
the Continuing Achievement Award is given to companies for technology
that has been in operation for at least three years and continues
to demonstrate superior performance.
"BroadSoft's product concept is excellent--offering highly
redundant, VoIP-based applications," said Kathryn Korostoff,
president of Sage Research and a SUPERQuest judge. "Evidence
is that early IP Centrex entrants are choosing BroadSoft and they
have real customers deploying in actual production mode, including
MCI, Telstra, US LEC Corporation and DSL.net. Their customers are
saying great things about them. Plus, the company has an amazing
list of partnerships which are strong endorsements. While many companies
have not/will not survive in this space, BroadSoft is here for the
long run."
According to Jack Chalden, general manager of SUPERCOMM, "The
strength and resiliency of this industry is reflected in the SUPERQuest
Award Winners and Runners-Up. These forward-thinking, innovative
companies give promise to the continuing growth and development
of this industry and show us exactly where we should be headed in
the future."
"We're extremely proud to be recognized by SUPERCOMM for our
leadership in the hosted voice sector," said Michael Tessler,
CEO and President at BroadSoft. "BroadSoft has the largest
customer base in this market because we deliver the openness, scalability
and feature richness companies need to compete. We are working with
our customers and partners to continue to be the leading innovators
in this sector."
For seven years, the SUPERQuest Awards have been the pre-eminent
honor given to communications and IT product and service manufacturers
for superior achievement in public and private network design and
operations. SUPERQuest Award recipients have been selected as the
best of the best in creating the most innovative new technologies
and products or supplying the best new enterprise solutions. Winners
are chosen by a panel of judges which include industry leading technology
press, analysts and other experts.
