BroadSoft Names Andrew Miller to Board of Directors
Former TANDBERG CEO Andrew M. Miller Joins BroadSoft's
Board of Directors
Gaithersburg, MD, 21 June 2006 - BroadSoft, Inc., the leading
provider of VoIP application software, today announced that Andrew
M. Miller has joined BroadSoft's Board of Directors. Miller brings
BroadSoft more than 25 years experience in technology leadership,
strategic marketing and global expansion.
Miller served as CEO of TANDBERG (TAA:OL) from 2002 to 2005 where
he led the company to global leadership in the visual communications
industry and more than tripled revenues. During his tenure, Miller
also acquired three technology companies, achieved significant footholds
in key global markets, including Asia Pacific, and spearheaded an
industry-leading alliance program with partners such as Cisco and
Microsoft. TANDBERG finished FY05 at $345M, and is headquartered
in Oslo, Norway and NYC, NY.
Before leading TANDBERG, Miller served for ten years in several
senior roles with Cisco Systems. Most recently he served as Vice
President of US Area Sales (West), and also Vice President Marketing/Customer
Advocacy, and Director of Federal Civilian Operations. He was instrumental
to the company's dramatic growth as it expanded from 1,000 to 40,000
employees and from $250 million to $20 billion in sales. Earlier
in his career, Miller held sales positions with Northern Telecom
and Jarvis Corporation.
Announcing Miller's appointment, Michael Tessler, president and
