BroadSoft Announces Record Results And Significant Growth in
2005
Corporate growth, new customers, innovative products, and
key personnel worldwide fuel BroadSoft's momentum in the VoIP application
market
GAITHERSBURG, Md. - Jan. 18, 2006 - BroadSoft®, the
leading provider of VoIP application software, announced today that
2005 marked an extremely successful year for the company, with major
customer wins, leading-edge technology and product launches, and
the addition of key personnel around the globe to drive consistent
results. In 2005 BroadSoft:
- Counted 6 of the top 10 and 11 of the top 25 global carriers
(based on revenue) as customers, with an overall base of more
than 150 customers and 1,750,000 lines deployed
- Achieved profitability for the year, reaching the milestone
ahead of plan
- Doubled revenues for the year, ending with the eighth consecutive
quarter of sequential quarterly revenue growth
- Delivered first IMS-compliant VoIP application software to the
market with partners such as Ericsson, Lucent, and Italtel
- Grew company by more than 50 percent, with the opening of new
offices in Australia, China, France, Germany, Korea, New Zealand,
and United Kingdom.
- Acquired Australian software development firm to enter the VoIP
desktop application space
- Launched multimedia services, including Custom Ringback and
the BroadWorks Communicator video softphone
- Built converged service platform used to offer advanced calling
services between 3G mobile phone to IP video phones
- Further strengthened the Board of Directors by electing Phil
Livingston as its first independent member and Audit Committee
Chairperson; expanded the breadth of the management team by adding
Gary Ford as General Counsel
- Was named to Light Reading Top 10 Privates Companies List of
Hottest IPO or Acquisition Candidates
