BROADSOFT LAUNCHES MOBILE PBX IN THE KOREAN VOIP
MARKET
New executives join Korea team as BroadSoft introduces BroadWorks
mobile and fix-mobile convergence solutions for wired/wireless telephony
SEOUL, KOREA, November 1, 2006 - BroadSoft, Inc., a leading
provider of VoIP application software, today announced at a press
conference that it has appointed Myung-Kyoo Choi and Hak-Song Park
as the regional vice president of sales-Korea and the senior counselor,
respectively, and has officially launched its mobile VoIP software
platform in the Korean market. BroadSoft's rollout of Mobile PBX
joins its other BroadWorks® VoIP applications already introduced
in Korea, including hosted PBX, IP Centrex, business trunking, and
residential broadband services.
Among BroadSoft's major clients in Korea are KT,
Samsung Networks,
SK Telink and Hanaro.
BroadSoft will target the enterprise and residential markets with
its mobile PBX solution through direct sales and through channel
partners, including Lucent Technologies,
Samsung Corporation, and others in Korea and APAC.

Myung-Kyoo Choi is responsible for business strategies, sales and
marketing in the Korean market. Prior to BroadSoft, Choi ran the
Korea office of a carrier-class ethernet equipment provider and
served as the executive director for business partner management
at Lucent Technologies Korea. He also held director positions in
business development and sales at HANA Systems and Nortel Korea.
Hak-Song Park is a communications veteran with 45 years of experience
in the telecommunications network industry. He is responsible for
the consultation of BroadSoft's domestic business strategy and operations.
Previously, Park served as president of Korea Digital Satellite
Broadcasting Co. and was vice president and a committee member of
the research center for KT.

IDC Korea estimates that the nation's VoIP service market will
grow 54 percent on average annually, expanding the market size from
the current volume of $250 million to near $1 billion by 2009. IP
convergence products will spur the VoIP device market to reach $263.5
million by 2009, according to IDC.
