The BroadWorks Communicator is a premium integrated desktop audio and video SIP softphone that allows residential and business users to place calls from their PC, using a high-speed Internet connection.

Communicator is a feature-rich desktop application, and can serve as a primary or secondary phone device. As an integrated device with BroadSoft's BroadWorks platform, service providers are able to auto provision this solution and provide automatic updates and version management seamlessly through the BroadWorks application server.

A key unified communications benefit of Communicator is the central storage of corporate directories, eliminating the need to duplicate contact lists. Audio and video calls can be initiated using the click-to-dial feature within Communicator.

The BroadWorks Communicator allows for the separation of the audio and video stream for redirection of audio to a headset and video to the desktop. This separation provides maximum flexibility and options for end-users.

The BroadWorks Communicator is available in English, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese, in addition to having multi-language support through the BroadWorks platform.
