Our History
BroadSoft launched as a privately-held company in 1998. In 2000, the company opened research and development operations in Montreal, Canada. This location also provides technical assistance. In 2004, BroadSoft acquired software development firm CarbonTwelve and launched a R&D facility in Sydney, Australia.
In 2006, BroadSoft expanded its technical assistance and training operations with the opening of its European Operations Center in Belfast, Northern Ireland. In 2007, BroadSoft added an APAC Operations Center to its Sydney location.
BroadSoft's financial investors recognize and support the vision and ambition of the BroadSoft team. Investors include Meritech Capital Partners, Bessemer Venture Partners, Charles River Ventures, Columbia Capital, Grotech Capital Group, and RRE Ventures. Combined, investors have provided more than $70 million to support BroadSoft's growth.
