1. A Simple Outbound Notification Service

Ever been stuck trying to deliver the same message to a group? The Simple Notification Service allows small businesses to invoke a cloud based reminder / notification service to send outbound messages to individuals or groups. Libraries, Doctors, Soccer moms and dads alike can utilize this simple service to create a closed loop notification system. It could work in one or more of the following modes.

Simple broadcast mode. A soccer dad takes a bunch of contacts e.g. all other soccer team parents and adds them to a target list or alias. He types in or records the message he wants to send to this alias and the time the message needs to be delivered to this group. The service then triggers outbound phone calls to each of the numbers in the alias and plays the message using Text-to-Speech. The service also uses a simple IVR interaction to ensure that it has not encountered an answering machine and that the correct user has heard the message. It then provides the sender with a report on the users who heard the message vs. those who did not.

List driven mode. A dentist's receptionist creates an excel spreadsheet or text file with a name, contact number, and time of appointment. He then uploads the excel spreadsheet to the SNS and clicks the start notification button. The SNS service then progressively goes through the entries in the excel spreadsheet making outbound notification calls and playing a text to speech message based on a reminder template of text that fills in the name and time of appointment before playing it out to the receiver.

Scheduled mode. The template in b) includes a scheduled time when the outbound communication is to be made and the call is made within +/- 5 minutes of the designated time. apply

2. Time Tracker

Here is a time saver for our friends in the legal and professional services professions in particular. The Time Tracker is a service that allows legal and professional services personnel to track the time they spend on various clients. They upload their client contact names, numbers, and company name into the Time Tracker DB. The Time Tracker stores logs of all the calls made on the user's number(s). The Time Tracker dashboard then allows the user to generate a report by client on demand. The report is downloadable to Excel. Bonus points if the service is integrated with leading CRM service(s) or software packages associated with the legal Vertical. apply

3. BroadSoft Conference Buddy

Never dial cumbersome conference PINs again! This application enables a user of the BroadSoft conferencing system to gain easy and timely entry to any BroadSoft conference that they are an invitee of. Once a user signs up for the BCB service, it monitors the user's outlook calendar for meetings that include BroadSoft conference bridge numbers. Another option might be to have an independent scheduling interface vs. calendar integration. Integration with popular calendars preferred. A few minutes before the designated meeting time, the BCB service places an outbound call to the user and then enables them to join the conference without having to enter their pin. apply

4. PhonePoll

Use your phone to poll your audience. This application uses a web-based form to create a phone survey application. The poll creator sets up a series of questions and possible choices using the web form. The poll creator can also setup a start and end time for the survey to be active. Once the survey is created, it is bound to an available DID number for user's to call in. The poll creator can then disseminate the number to her target audience to take a survey. The survey admin page has a link to a reporting page that displays results in real-time as users call in. Once the survey is closed, the results of the survey can be downloaded to excel for reporting and analysis. apply
