For most teams, the odds are pretty high that getting your work done requires collaborating with someone outside your organization. In fact, in a recent survey, 86%* of participants cited lack of collaboration for workplace failures. Teamwork has become the way work gets done. And when you look at your team, you see it’s not limited to people inside your organization. You need to be able to communicate easily and quickly share information with people outside your organization too, like your customer, contractor or agency vendor, to get the job done.
What you need is Open Collaboration and that’s what BroadSoft Team-One delivers. With Open Collaboration in Team-One, you’re free to do just that: Collaborate with anyone and everyone supporting your project no matter what platforms, applications or devices they use.
How does it work?
It’s simple! As a Workspace admin, you can easily add Guests to the Workspace by entering the email address for the person outside your organization. Your Guest will receive an email invite, and with one click, voilà...they’re in like Flynn. Guests have access to the same simple, intuitive interface as regular Users do, so it's easy for them to hit the ground running.
Open Collaboration gives all Members, including Guests, access to all the content shared in the Workspace as well as access to the people working on the project, creating a more efficient and effective environment for increased productivity.
Is it secure? What can Guests see?
Yes! Security is of utmost importance to us. While Open Collaboration is our goal, Guest privileges are limited. This means we can ensure complete privacy and security of all content and Users outside of a Guest’s invited Workspace. So you never have to worry about a Guest wandering into other Workspaces where they don’t belong.
- Create Workspaces
- Invite new Workspace Members or Organization Users
- Start a Live Meeting or initiate a Click-to-Call
- Access the Organization's User Directory
Long story short, with Open Collaboration Guests have all the functionality they need to be an active participant in the Workspace. They can chat in groups or one-one-one with any member of the Workspace they’re both a part of, share a file, create a task, create a note and join a Live Meeting.
If you haven’t yet added a Guest to your Team-One Workspace, what are you waiting for? There’s nothing to lose as Guests are free, and there’s no cap on the number of Guests you can add to a Workspace.
As the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, make sure you’re not the bottleneck hindering your team’s productivity, so invite that contractor, or agency contact as a Guest to your Workspace and watch your productivity soar!
