German ISP to Deliver White Label VoIP Offering to Service Providers
Gaithersburg, MD -- March 16, 2007 -- BroadSoft Inc., a leading provider of VoIP application software, announced today that MK Netzdienste, a provider of VPN and Internet services for businesses, has selected BroadSoft’s BroadWorks® platform to deliver a suite of VoIP services directly to German small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Germany. MK Netzdienste will also provide a white-label VoIP offering to service providers.
MK Netzdienste’s new VoIP service, called MK-Centrex, removes the need for a costly PBX by providing SMEs a single communications service with more advanced functionality than a PBX, and the added ability to extend services over multiple sites using standard IP handsets and softphones. MK Netzdienste is targeting enterprises with between three and 500 employees with the BroadWorks platform’s rich set of VoIP features, including auto-attendant, unified voicemail, instant messaging, call transfer & divert, find-me-follow-me and simultaneous ring functions. The service offers advanced computer telephony integration, which allows for call management using PCs and laptops, as well as click-to-dial in Microsoft applications. Using the BroadWorks desktop toolbar, end-users can customize the MK-Centrex service. For example, an executive can direct important calls to ring each of his devices, while diverting all other calls to voicemail.
MK Netzdienste will be offering the service directly to its own customers as well as allowing other service providers and resellers to white label the service offering based on BroadSoft’s BroadWorks platform. For many small German resellers and service providers, the overhead involved in deploying their own VoIP services platform can be prohibitively high. MK Netzdienste’s white-label offering will enable other service providers to quickly, reliably and cost-effectively rollout VoIP service to their enterprise customers.
“The PBX vendors have held the enterprise ransom for too long. We are now in a position to offer all the same advantages of a PBX, but without its limited shelf-life, its limitation to a specific building and the immense initial financial outlay and upkeep costs,” said Marc Keilwerth, MK Netzdienste’s managing director. “In BroadSoft we’ve allied with the leading provider of converged communications applications and we expect the relationship to dramatically improve how customers’ communications cabilities.”
“MK Netzdienste perfectly represents a phenomenon that is sweeping Europe – hundreds of broadband ISPs are realising that they needn’t be just a pipe. They can up-sell the advanced VoIP services that are beginning to replace the multi-billion Euro PBX market,” said Mike Wilkinson, European marketing director for BroadSoft. “MK Netzdienste is a key partner for us in Germany, and we expect to be working with them in the future to continue to bring new applications to small and large enterprises.”
