National Telecom Operator Leverages BroadWorks Platform to Provide Added Value through Voice
Gaithersburg, Maryland, May 30, 2006 - BroadSoft Inc, the leading provider of VoIP application software, today announced that Russian national operator RTComm, has selected BroadSoft's BroadWorks VoIP application platform to deliver the first hosted PBX services to the Russian marketplace. RTComm will use the BroadWorks platform to assist service providers in opening up a new market for affordable IP based corporate triple-play applications and hosted PBX services.
RTComm will offer BroadWorks' hosted PBX applications to service providers as part of its corporate over IP (CoIP) product, helping them to deliver a complete suite of enhanced PBX functionality over an IP connection to their customers. Correspondingly, end-users will benefit from flexible communications capability throughout the enterprise and access to true business-grade triple-play services at highly economical rates.
"RTComm joins the large number of incumbent service providers using BroadSoft's VoIP application platform to offer the first compelling hosted PBX opportunity in their home market. As businesses realise that they don't necessarily need to rip out their old systems and build a new one from scratch in order to enjoy a wealth of feature-rich VoIP applications that will help profitability and productivity levels on a daily basis, we expect RTComm to see an upsurge in demand from a cross-section of enterprise users," explained Michael Tessler, President and Chief Executive Officer for BroadSoft. "RTComm leads the market in Eastern Europe by deploying the BroadWorks platform to offer the most valuable and vital voice services to business consumers for increased productivity and efficiency in communications."
