New 'Broad-Connect' Service to Deliver SIP Trunking and Hosted PBX to North American SMBs and Large Enterprises
GAITHERSBURG, MD, Oct. 2, 2007 - BroadSoft, Inc., a leading provider of VoIP application software, today announced that Tortel Communications, Inc., a North American IP telephony provider, has selected BroadSoft to power Tortel's new VoIP services under its Broad-Connect Telecom brand. Tortel will use BroadSoft's BroadWorks® platform to deliver Broad-Connect SIP trunking and hosted PBX services to small, medium and large businesses throughout North America.
With data centers in both the U.S. and Canada, Tortel will offer Broad-Connect services exclusively through a network of resellers across North America. Tortel supports resellers with its in-house, around-the-clock support center and a state-of-the-art training center that provides hands-on experience with BroadWorks applications.
Tortel chose BroadWorks for its reliability, reputation and interoperability. Tortel's business trunking and hosted PBX services will include the BroadWorks integration with Microsoft® Outlook®, the customer Web portal, and the BroadWorks Communicator, an integrated audio and video SIP softphone.
