Unified Communications Magazine Recognizes the Unified Connector for Salesforce for Outstanding Innovation
GAITHERSBURG, MD, April 21, 2008 - BroadSoft Inc., a leading provider of VoIP application software, announced today that Technology Marketing Corporation's (TMC®) Unified Communications magazine (www.uc-mag.com) has named BroadSoft's Unified Connector for Salesforce the Product of the Year. The Unified Connector for Salesforce is a mashup of BroadSoft's BroadWorks VoIP application platform with the leading web-based customer relationship management (CRM) application.
The Unified Connector for Salesforce enables enterprise users to use their carrier-grade VoIP calling functionality – such as click-to-dial, call hold and call transfer – within the CRM in salesforce.com.
The Unified Connector for Salesforce is a flagship mashup in the BroadSoft Xtended program, a pioneering initiative that brings together the carrier-grade BroadWorks voice applications with leading Web 2.0 solutions. Unified Communications magazine's Product of the Year award is the second honor for BroadSoft's Unified Connector for Salesforce in the last month. VON Magazine awarded the Unified Connector for Salesforce with a Judge's Top 10 Innovator Award.
"This latest recognition from Unified Communications magazine shows that opinion-makers within our industry understand the value of our BroadSoft Xtended program and the new, innovative applications and mashups that are created by third-party developers," said Michael Lauricella, director of BroadSoft Xtended. "The Unified Connector for Salesforce combines best-of-breed voice and video calling features with a powerful and popular CRM application. This mashup has really captured the interest of our telecom service provider customers and their enterprise end-users."
With the Unified Connector for Salesforce, BroadWorks end-users can automatically capture and manage detailed logs of all calls from within salesforce.com to track interactions with customers. The integrated solution automatically opens a caller's Salesforce contact record when the user receives an incoming call. The user can answer calls, place callers on hold and transfer calls – all from within salesforce.com.
"BroadSoft's Unified Connector for Salesforce delivers tremendous value to our customers by connecting the Force.com platform to any BroadWorks platform, delivering critical functionality such as click-to-dial, call hold and call transfer within Salesforce," said Clarence So, chief marketing officer, salesforce.com. "We are excited to see that BroadSoft's valuable product is gaining recognition within the industry."
"BroadSoft has proven it is committed to quality and excellence while addressing real needs in the marketplace.
